3 Self-Investments That Could Make Or Break Your Success

What is the best investment you've ever made in yourself?

Seriously. Think about it for a minute. What really made a difference in the way you operated in your life and/or chosen profession??

Something that made a SIGNIFICANT impact on your growth financially, mentally or even physically? What made you say "Mannn, if I didn't do this _______, I don't know where I'd be."

I have 3 solid investments I've made myself, that catapulted me on my current adventures. Speaking engagements. Radio show feature. Published articles on big name sites.Organizations seeking me out to host workshops. That sh!t don't happen without some inner work.

Let me start from the beginning.

I'm an introvert. I much rather be behind the scenes than on centre stage. I don't like the spotlight and I damn sure don't like the attention on me. It's awkward and it makes me uncomfortable.

Being that way had kept me hidden for years. My talent, ability and the service I can offer. All hidden.

Who does that help?

I have been blessed to have many individuals around me that saw something I couldn't see, at the time. Who would push me forward and cheer me on. When I would much rather stand on the sidelines. Like a side chick.

I am still this way in some aspects. Only now, it's a choice rather than a fear. Fear of judgment, criticism and shining too brightly. Yup! There is such a fear of shining too brightly. I didn't want to dim anybody's light because I was taken up too much space.

Not anymore hunny, I'm the main chick now.

I choose to turn it on and off like a switch. I can be an extrovert when called to, but my recharging base is being an introvert - all the way.

Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is a surefire way to get what you want, without much effort. AND investing in these 3 things will definitely set you on the good foot.

1. READ. READ. READ.

Reading is fundamental. It's the only tool you can use to escape to different lands, learn a new language, meet historians and download a wealth of knowledge all in the comfort of your home.

I've spent many of days cooped up in my bedroom reading.

Now with more technology at my disposal. I listen to audio books in my car. Either way. Knowledge is power.

2. Get a Mentor(s)

This is not so easy. The thing with mentors is this. They come into your life when you are already doing amazing sh!t. Very rarely do they show up when you're doing nothing with your life. Think back...am I right?? I know.

Here's why.

Mentors are placed in our life for a purpose. That purpose is to help you along on yours. Once they've done their part, they either disappear or evolve into something else.

Every. Time.

I'm looking back, right now. Yea, I'm on the money with this one.

3. Strengthen Your Intuition

Many miss this one. Many don't even see the importance.

Well, I'm here to tell you. Don't miss this crucial piece. It is your life source. It is your guide when you get, stuck or lost. Your mentors can definitely help you out but at the end of the day. It's your life and you better get used to running the show.

Tuning into a higher energy to guide you, trumps any human force put on this earth.

Start strengthening your intuition by paying attention to how you feel in different scenarios. While talking to someone and your body vibrates, or you get a tingle or a shiver. Pay attention. It all means something.

As you continue to become more aware, you will understand the cues you're getting from a higher source and know, with certainty, your next move.

This is most definitely, how I operate my business. Off of intuition. It hasn't led me wrong, ever.

Now it's your turn.
